About Us

Cash for Containers New Zealand has been set up by Entrust Foundation and Community Recycling Network (CRN) as a campaign and information hub for kiwis and groups that want a CDS (Container Deposit Scheme) for New Zealand.

Groups, councils and individuals have been highlighting the need for a CDS since the 1980s. We aim to build a wide coalition of local authorities, community groups, businesses, environmental organisations and individuals working together to ensure that CDS is re-established in New Zealand.
