A recent press release where the Associate Minister for the Environment claimed that New Zealand is recycling 73% of glass has been challenged by Recycling expert Warren Snow. Snow claims that we are hardly recycling even 50%. He also states that a very similar press release was issued by the industry lobby group, the Packaging Forum in 2015 and says, the Minister has had the wool pulled over his eyes by the Forum and should instead do his own research on recycling rates.
